What’s Next?

A Path to Purpose

Step into the next season of your life.

Life evolves, and so do we. The pillars that once supported your life - family, career, relationships - may be shifting. Even in a time of change, the desire to grow, serve, connect and seek new opportunities remains.

You may be asking: How is God calling me to live my purpose now? What is meant to be embraced? And what might I be invited to let go?

Join Christos in What’s Next

What’s Next is a community cohort experience to help you navigate the transitions in your life. Online small group interaction is at the core of the program.

  • For people seeking community as they approach the threshold into the next part of their lives. You’ll meet others who may be facing the same challenges you are.

  • For people whose lives may be in transition (empty nest, retirement, divorce or widowhood, career change, for example) and wish to create a roadmap for their new path. Now that you are at a new point in your life, how do you discern what comes next?

  • For people who are looking for a new way to use their gifts, and serve God’s world. You may want ideas on how to best use your talents and gifts to contribute and stay vital in your community.

You do not have to be associated with a particular religious background or Christian denomination to participate in What’s Next. Our program has an ecumenical Christian focus. While Christos comes from a Christian perspective, participants come from many streams and denominations to form a broad river, and the banks of the river are the Apostles Creed.

FAQs

Who is Christos?

Christos Center for Spiritual Formation is a Christian ecumenical retreat center headquartered in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, with roots in Spiritual Direction and spiritual formation programs for more than 35 years.

Christos is a pioneer in spiritual remote learning, attracting learners from all over the world for its Tending the Holy Spiritual Direction and Ignatian Retreat programs in the Twin Cities, Chicago and via distance learning. While we come from a Christian perspective, participants come from many streams and denominations to form a broad river, and the banks of the river are the Apostles Creed.

What happens during a typical online session?

Each session will be slightly different, depending on the content being covered. Prior to each session there will be some reading, assessments or pre-recorded presentations to prepare for the class. Sessions begin with the whole group together for welcome and check-ins and lead into time for questions, discussion of that week’s topic and breakout groups. Each session also includes small group listening circles.

I may be spending time away from home this winter. Will I miss some of the sessions?

One of the benefits of What’s Next is that you may access the sessions from wherever you are. What’s Next is online, live, real-time conversations, with large and small-group interaction — all of which can be accessed via Zoom from wherever you have an internet connection. Christos participants in our other online programs come from many states, provinces and countries worldwide.

I don’t belong to a church. Can I still be part of What’s Next?

Absolutely yes — you can be part of What’s Next. You do not have to be associated with any religious background or a particular church, but please know that our program has an ecumenical Christian focus.
